Matches and Recommendations are a key part of Recruit's system. Recruiters should view it as an automated search function which allows the User to hire Candidates faster.

When you publish a vacancy, we use machine learning to match the vacancy to candidates in your selected sources (Talent Pools/Vault), based on the vacancy description and skill configuration.

The system will automatically pick the best candidates based on a score we recommend:

  • Click on Matches at the top right hand side of the screen:

  • We will display the total number of Good Matches (above 70% score match) under the Results Overview tab.

On this tab you can also see a detailed funnel chart that explains how the number of Matched Candidates has been narrowed down:

  1. first we filter on the Sources you added (Talent Pool/ Vault)
  2. then on the Location of the Vacancy you've set and the Candidates availability
  3. next is filtering by Rates
  4. we apply machine learning to find relevant matches. We compare Candidate CV to the whole of the Vacancy Description and that's when we filter on Similarity
  5. both Experience and Industry Relevance here is filtered and you can hover over the filter to further inspect the numbers;

     5. then Candidates are filtered out according to the 'Must Have' skills and skill groups Image Placeholder

     6. we then filter out low scoring Candidates

     7. and finally display Candidates above the default score threshold (70%)

You are given the option to change this score threshold:

  • Click on the 'Set Score Threshold Manually' button
  • A pop-up window will open where you can set the new score and see how the number of Matched candidates changes:
    • the higher the score you set, the lower the number of candidates will be. There will be less candidates with an 80% and above score than there were at 60%
    • if you're considering lowering the score threshold, this may bring more potential candidates but please bear in mind that low scoring candidates might not be relevant to the vacancy

  • If you are happy with the number of Candidates consider as a Good Match, you are invited to simply click on the Skip Review button which is located at the top right hand side of the screen:

  • This will take you to the Send Recommendations tab without having to manually review any of the matched Candidate profiles.
  • You can go back a step and restart the process by clicking on the Reset to Defaults button which is next to the send now button on the right:

This will take you back to the Results Overview tab and set the score threshold back to the default 70%. You can then either change it or keep it at 70%.

  • Click Send Now to send a Recommendation email out to all the Candidates considered as a Good Match

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page to browse, filter, view the full list of matched Candidates
